HOTEL EL GUARCO

Given the need for a hotel in the province of Cartago and with the vision of an entrepreneur from Cartago and resident of El Tejar the Guarco, a survey was done among the many foreign visitors that stopped at the Servicentro El Guarco Gas Station. Completed in mid 2006, the survey verified the need for a hotel in the area and as a result the first sketches were drawn to solve the concerns of these visitors. Designs began to take shape and the corresponding permits were issued in 2007 for construction. It was not until July 28th, 2008 that hotel first opened its doors as the Hotel El Paso Del Guarco S.A. later synonymous with "Hotel El Guarco".

In August 2008, the installations were inaugurated and the first guests were greeted; these were visitors from Panama. By the end of 2009 the indoor parking area for 20 vehicles was built between the two main buildings.

The hotel was built with two main areas and contemplates 31 guest rooms, a reception area, meeting room for 25 people, restaurant seating for 40 and its corresponding kitchen as well as cafeteria for the staff.
